DJ Khaled Shows Off a Slew of Upcoming Air Jordan Releases

DJ Khaled is once again getting a head start on the sneaker world, giving fans a glimpse at four Air Jordan releases arriving across August and September.

The longtime Jordan Brand collaborator recently showed off a collection of upcoming pairs, ranging from modern laser-engraved designs to the highly anticipated comeback of a familiar early-2000s colorway.

Among the sneakers featured was the Air Jordan 6 “Oreo,” which officially launched August 8 with a $215 retail price. Khaled also previewed an Air Jordan 9 alongside two releases built around Jordan Brand’s returning laser treatment.

Those two pairs — the Air Jordan 3 “Laser” and Air Jordan 1 Low “Laser” — are scheduled to arrive August 22. The Air Jordan 3 will retail for $230, while the low-top Jordan 1 will be priced at $165.

Perhaps the biggest nostalgia play in Khaled’s latest showcase is the Air Jordan 8 “Chrome.” Scheduled for September 12 at $215, the black-and-silver sneaker is returning to stores for the first time in more than a decade.

Originally introduced in 2003, the “Chrome” Jordan 8 is defined by its predominantly black construction and metallic silver detailing. The colorway was last brought back in 2015, making the 2026 release another opportunity for collectors who missed its previous run.

The sneaker also carries some memorable basketball history. Kobe Bryant famously played in the “Chrome” Air Jordan 8 during the 2003 NBA Playoffs, adding another layer of significance to a colorway already associated with an important era of Jordan releases.

Of course, seeing Khaled with unreleased Jordans is hardly unusual. His relationship with Jordan Brand has routinely put coveted sneakers in his hands well before their public launch dates, and his latest preview continues that tradition.

While the “Chrome” offers a straightforward dose of nostalgia, the two “Laser” releases take a much more detailed approach.

Laser engraving became a memorable part of Jordan Brand’s design language during the mid-2000s, with intricate graphics etched directly into the sneakers’ leather panels. That concept is being brought back for both the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 1 Low.

The upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Laser” has particularly deep roots in Michael Jordan’s history. Its inspiration traces back to an exclusive one-of-one Air Jordan 3 created for Jordan’s 40th birthday in 2003. The engraved artwork incorporates imagery connected to different chapters of his career and life.

The Air Jordan 1 Low “Laser” carries the concept onto another classic silhouette, pairing darker leather with engraved artwork designed to become one of the sneaker’s defining visual elements.

Taken together, Khaled’s latest collection provides a small preview of what Jordan Brand has planned for the remainder of 2026. Between the revival of laser detailing and another celebrated retro returning from the archives, the brand continues to lean heavily on both its history and the stories attached to some of its most recognizable sneakers.
