Winner takes home $1,000 and a week of featured placement
Versus is a live music competition where artists enter songs they already uploaded to Real Muzic, fans vote, and songs advance through rounds until one winner is crowned.
When an event opens, eligible users can choose a song from their approved uploaded singles. Free entry is included for qualifying memberships. Non-members can enter by paying the event entry fee.
Users who pay per submission must agree to the Versus Tournament Terms before payment. The entry fee gives access to submit into the event; it does not guarantee votes, advancement, placement, promotion, payout, or winning.
Each event has a submission limit set by Real Muzic. The current default is up to two submissions per user per event, unless the event settings say otherwise.
Once submissions close, Real Muzic starts voting. Logged-in users can vote on songs with upvotes or downvotes. Each user can only vote once per song, and changing a vote updates their previous choice.
Songs are paired into Versus battles. The system aims to keep battles fair by matching songs by genre and similar performance when possible. A song can face multiple opponents as rounds progress.
Each event has an upvote target. Songs that reach the target or win their matchup can move forward. Songs that do not meet the requirement may be eliminated as the bracket narrows.
The Versus page can include live comments and, during special moments, an admin or moderator live broadcast. The live room is there so fans can react while the competition is happening.
The final round brings the last songs together for the winner decision. The final may use a higher upvote target and a shorter live voting window, depending on the event settings.
Real Muzic may remove votes, comments, or submissions for copyright issues, fake voting, abuse, rule violations, or anything that affects event integrity. Admin adjustments may be used for moderation, correction, testing, or event operation.
When the event ends, the winner is shown on the Versus page. Final results may be reviewed by Real Muzic staff before the winner display is treated as official.
